Gisborne/Hawke’s Bay region has most economic confidence

Metropolitan centres most pessimistic, rural areas close the confidence gap.

The economic performance of the regions may differ markedly but a new survey shows they all share declining confidence.

The Westpac-McDermott Miller Regional Economic Confidence survey for the September quarter fell for the third successive quarter, led by Auckland, Canterbury and Wellington.
