Fonterra increases profit guidance

Cheese and protein prices boost earnings as dairy co-op eyes 'strong dividend'.

Fonterra has announced a wide opening milk price forecast range for 2023/24 of $7.25 to $8.75 a kg of milk solids.

Dairy co-op Fonterra has increased its profit guidance for the year to July citing favourable prices in cheese and protein.

In a statement, Fonterra said it was now forecasting normalised earnings per share of 65-68c for the year, up from 55-75c, and remained “on track for a strong full year
