Fewer Chinese, Indian tourists in May
More New Zealanders went on overseas trips than a year ago.

A drop in Chinese and Indian tourists led a 1.2% fall in visitor arrivals in May compared with a year earlier, Stats NZ said.
Although May is a typically slow month for tourism, the drop represents 2800 fewer Chinese and 1900 fewer Indians out of a total 219,300 arrivals.
