EA tenders contract for Powerswitch website

New contract may ditch switching fee criticised by small retailers.

The Electricity Authority has confirmed a tender process for its power price comparison website, with changes aimed at increasing trust in its independence.

The current website funded by the EA – Powerswitch – is run by Consumer NZ under a contract renewed for two years last July.
