Digital advertising products posited as the saviour of TVNZ
CEO Jodi O’Donnell said the broadcaster now had a ‘clearly commercial mandate’ and would prioritise digital over linear from this year onwards as dire results unveiled.
A financial year, in which TVNZ canned some of its most iconic programmes and laid off at least 70 staff in ways that has seen it lose against them at the Employment Court, has concluded with a drop in advertising revenue and a post-tax loss of $85 million, including a $62.1m impairment.
