Dawn Aerospace’s spaceplane ready for rocket-powered test flights

It marks a step change in the space company’s testing programme.

Tests of the Mk-11 vehicle under rocket power are expected in the South Island before the end of the year.

Christchurch-based space company Dawn Aeropace said it had completed Phase One testing of its Mk-11 Aurora space plane after 48 flights in the past 13 months using surrogate jet engines.
