Danone fires up biomass boiler at Balclutha plant

$30m renewable energy investment takes over from LPG powered plant.

French multinational Danone has commissioned a biomass boiler at its Balclutha milk processing plant after a $30 million investment.

The plant produces ingredients for Danone infant formula brands such as Karicare and Aptamil.
