Confidence in future jobs falls, as do pay rise hopes

Workers’ expectations are their lowest level in the 15-year history of the survey.

Perceptions of current and future job opportunities dipped in March, reversing strong employment confidence in the December survey.

The Westpac McDermott Miller Employment Confidence Index fell 7.1 points to 114.2 in March and now sits close to its long-term average.
