CentrePort settles dispute with Stats NZ; underlying profit rises

The company’s property subsidiary was one of three defendants in a $17.3m claim from Stats NZ.

The port company’s annual report for the 12 months ended June was released today.

Wellington port company CentrePort has confirmed it has settled a $17 million legal dispute it was involved in with Statistics NZ.

The case regarded CentrePort’s Statistics House building on Wellington’s waterfront, which was badly damaged following the 7.8 magnitude Kaikoura earthquake in 2016
