Big powercos face complaint under new competition law

Retail power minnow Electric Kiwi has filed a Commerce Commission complaint against four big gentailers under new provisions in the Commerce Act in force since April.

The complaint alleges Meridian, Mercury, Genesis and Contact abused their market power by refusing to supply certain wholesale market
