Bank whistleblower scheme launches as complaints rise

Insiders now can go direct to the Ombudsman with information on wrongdoing.

Bank staff will be able to report bad behaviour by lenders with impunity via a whistleblower service being launched by the Banking Ombudsman.

The new scheme comes as the ombusdman’s office releases the first results of its complaints dashboard, an industry-wide tool compiling all grievances
