Aurora Energy fined for ‘excessive’ power outages
An almost $5m penalty but no timeframe to pay due to Covid-19 pandemic.
Dunedin-based lines company Aurora Energy has been penalised almost $5 million for an “excessive” amount of power outages in the last four years.
The Commerce Commission said Aurora had been ordered by the High Court at Wellington to pay the penalty that both parties had recommended.
