Auckland hoteliers call for permanent scrapping of council targeted rate

Tourism Industry Aotearoa is calling on Auckland Council to drop its accommodation provider targeted rate permanently after its Auckland hotel members saw $75 million decline in revenue.

The industry lobby group called for the rate to be removed in its submission on the Council’s Emergency
