Auckland Council’s latest bond offer has delivered institutional buyers an almost immediate $45 million windfall, critics say.

Auckland has issued $500m-worth of 30-year bonds, New Zealand’s longest-dated bonds thus far, exceeding the government’s 2041 bonds issued in July.
