ASB annual result up 34% with lending on the rise

Lower bad debt provisions and increased lending boost profits on both sides of the Tasman.

ASB has reported a 34% increase in cash net profit on the back of significantly lower bad debt provisions, as the economy continues to recover from Covid-19.

The bank has delivered a cash net profit after tax of $1.295 billion for the year to June, up from $965 million in 2020.
