AGL Energy bids farewell to Vocus takeover

It's the second failed bid in two weeks for Aussie telco.

Australian energy company AGL Energy has walked away from its $A3 billion takeover bid of Aussie telco Vocus Group, causing a record 32% plunge in Vocus shares this morning to $A2.94.

The ASX-listed AGL announced it had ceased due diligence and had withdrawn its non-binding, indicative proposal
