Guy Te Kiniwe Royal

Guy has over 20 years as a commercial lawyer and strategic adviser on investment in NZ, Hong Kong, Vietnam and the UK. Guy specialises in the Māori commercial sector in NZ. He currently advises a wide  group of Māori entities as a Director of Tuia Group. Through its sister company Tuia Investments he has also invested into various start-ups in areas like VR technology, nutraceuticals, climate technology, health beverages, energy management systems, online journalism and rare metals exploration. He is a member of the Angel Association and the NZ Private Capital Association.

Guy currently sits on the Board of CH4 Global – a methane-inhibitor company based in the US operating in various companies including NZ. He is also on the commercial board of Ngāti Raukawa ki te Tonga.

Previous Directorships include NZ Growth Capital Partners, Kiwirail, Chair of Toitu Te Waonui a forestry fund, and New Zealand Fast Forward Fund Limited. He was previously a Trustee of the Crown Forestry Rental Trust as well as being on the Boards of ColabNZ (a co-working property business) and the Film and Literature Review Board.
