Born in the UK, I have been an aviation enthusiast since I was a young teenager. An avid aircraft spotter, I also served several years with the Royal Observer Corps. On moving to Masterton, New Zealand in 1976, I found myself living in a perfect place to follow my interest. With The Vintage Aviator (TVAL) and its WWI aircraft, Wairarapa Flying Tigers and Wings Over Wairarapa to name a few, Masterton is a great place to follow aviation.
I started writing and submitting photos to NZ Aviation News over 20 years ago, covering Wairarapa, Manawatu and Hawke’s Bay where there is always plenty of aviation activity going on.
