Mark Revington

Mark Revington is an award-winning journalist and former editor who now works as a freelance writer.

Mark Revington began his journalism career at the Gisborne Herald when typewriters ruled the Earth and you could still go for a surf at lunchtime. His career took him to hotspots like Whitianga and Thames and glamorous titles like the (now defunct) Auckland City Harbour News before somehow ending up at The Listener where he stayed for much too long and then Unlimited magazine where he developed a taste for start-ups, innovation and entrepreneurs.

His awards include Westpac Financial  Journalist of the Year and business magazine editor of the year. He spent six or so years working for Te Runanga o Ngai Tahu before leaving to once again attempt to write. He holds a post doctoral diploma in entrepreneurship from the University of Otago.
