Jenni McManus joins NBR to set up and run the company’s inaugural training course for business journalists.
A former radio reporter and journalism tutor with more than 30 years’ experience as a business writer and editor, she first joined NBR in 1987. In 1992 she co-founded The Independent Business Weekly, an award-winning investigative newspaper.
She rejoins NBR after nearly eight years as NZ communications manager for global consultancy Ernst & Young.
She has won more than 20 journalism awards, including Senior Reporter of the Year in 1997 (the Qantas awards) and the Citibank Award.
She is the author of two books, In the Arena and A Woman’s Place and is a registered Yoga teacher.
Jenni has degrees in English and Music, a post-graduate Diploma in Journalism and is completing an LLB (hons).
