Sanjay Prakash joined NBR in March 2019 as part of its intern scheme.
It is his first foray into the world of journalism following a short but eventful career as a Warfare Officer in the Royal New Zealand Navy. A Warfare Officer is involved in navigation, operations, and planning.
Educated at the University of Canterbury, Sanjay completed a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with Honours in Diplomacy.
Although his background is generally in politics and security, he enjoys following emerging technologies and growing New Zealand companies and is an active investor in listed and unlisted companies.
