John King has been involved in aviation since starting with NZNAC in 1965, developing his writing and aerial photography until going freelance, and has had his work published on four continents.
He cut his editorial teeth with NZ Wings, rising to assistant editor and chief photographer. This was followed by more freelancing, industry awards, and writing nine books (eight aviation titles) plus co-authoring two aviation histories.
He has also edited NZ Sport Flying and, from 2008, NZ Aviation News, under which banner he now joins the NBR team.
John’s taste in aeroplanes is reflected in his life membership of the Tiger Moth Club and Sport Aircraft Association.
