Aussie government to pay super on paid parental leave

Announcement made alongside the release of ‘Working for Women’ – Australia’s first national strategy to achieve gender equality.

An additional 12% on top of government-funded paid parental leave will be paid into eligible parents’ superannuation accounts from July 1, 2025 under a new initiative with more details to be announced by Australia's Albanese Government today.
