Flammable cladding class action begins in Sydney

Similar action has been initiated in the New Zealand High Court.

The cladding is allegedly similar to that used in Grenfell Towers in London, where 72 people died in a fire in 2017.

An Australian court has this week begun hearing a class action against importers of an allegedly flammable building cladding in advance of a similar claim to be heard by courts in New Zealand.
