Rugby’s uncertain fortunes in Australia have taken a turn for the worse, with expansion club Melbourne Rebels in financial crisis and the chief executive sacked.
The ailing Super Rugby franchise is in voluntary administration and has only A$17,300 in the bank but has debts of A$20 million.
