ASIC concerned about private market boom

Inevitable failures in the private credit market could make waves in public markets, Australia’s market regulator says.

Corporate regulator the Australian Securities & Investments Commission has predicted “failures on the horizon” as a result of the wave of investment in private credit markets, which it says are “untested by prior crises”.
