WTO cuts growth forecasts as tariff wars start to bite

The World Trade Organisation has downgraded its growth forecasts as the US-China tariff war takes its toll.

The April estimate of a 4.4% expansion in merchandise trade volume for 2018 has been cut to 3.9%, slowing further to 3.7% in 2019.
